DIVING
EQUIPMENT AND LUGGAGE:
Be careful! Diving equipment is considered included in the maximum allowed
weight (between 15 & 20 kg for most of the charter flights)
If you want to bring extra equipment (TUI):

VACCINATIONS:
Vaccinations are not obligatory. Still we advise you to take vaccination
for hepatitis A and tetanus. Check with your travel agency.

| EXCHANGE
RATES :
The Egyptian pound (LE) is know for its fluctuations. Please contact your
bank.
|
| TRAVEL
DOCUMENTS :
To enter Egypt you need an international passport that is valid 6 months
from the arrival day, or an identity card with an extra photo. In this
case the customs will make a local passport for you in the airport.

| VISA:
The full visa costs 15 euro in the bank of the airport. You need the full
visa if you stay longer than 2 weeks, or if you plan to go to Ras Mohamed
(as diver or non diver).
|
| DUTY
FREE:
The first 48 hours you have the possibility to go to the duty free shop
in Sharm el sheikh, but you have to take your passport with arrival stamp.
|
| STAY:
If you stay longer than one month in Egypt, you cannot fly back with a
charter. If you try this anyway, and there is a control, you may have
your flight ticket confiscated.
|
| SOUVENIRS:
It is forbidden to export corals and shells, if you do so, you will pay
a high penalty.
|
DIVING
KNIVES:
Diving knives are not allowed for diving in Sharm.
|
FLIGHT:
Don't forget to confirm you flight 1-2 days before departure and remember
to check in 2 hours before departure time (check-in desk closes when the
aircraft arrives). |
